Hope For The Warriors launches new 12-member board of advisors

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (May 6, 2025) – The national nonprofit Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) recently named its new 12-member board of advisors.

Founded in 2006, HOPE assists post 9/11 veterans, service members and military families with services that range from critical needs assistance to career and financial coaching to forging community connections through physical activity and caring for mental health and offering peer support.

The 12-member board of advisors group includes military veterans, nonprofit leaders, healthcare experts, and advocates dedicated to guiding the organization’s mission to deliver unparalleled services that uplift individuals and their families as they navigate the complexities of military life.

This group of new HOPE board of advisors includes;

  • Sandy Breeland, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Gray Television
  • Kate Chard Ph.D., Associate Chief of Staff for Research and Director of Trauma Recovery Center at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center
  • Dave Dzengowski, Labor and Employment Partner, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP
  • Todd Finger, Head of McDermott’s Transactions Practice Group in New York\
  • Chris Ford, U.S. Air Force veteran and Strategic Innovation Director, USAA
  • Octavia Harris, U.S. Navy veteran and Military advocate
  • Sue Jurney, Military Family advocate
  • Pat Locke, U.S. Army veteran and national liaison for the West Point leadership ethics and diversity in STEM (LEADS) program
  • Scott Moran, CEO, Moran Oil Company
  • Sean Passmore, Head of Military Talent Strategic Sourcing and Enterprise Military and Veteran Initiatives, Wells Fargo & Company
  • Gary Sinise, Actor and Military advocate
  • David Sutherland, U.S. Army veteran and President, Sutherland Partnership, Inc.
