Virtual wellness challenge aims to motivate while remembering fallen service members
SPRINGFIELD, Va. (April 15, 2025) – Participants can now register for the Hope For The Warriors 30×30 Memorial Day Challenge presented by Owens & Minor. Kicking off May 1 and running through May 30, this virtual and free wellness challenge focuses on individual’s physical and emotional well-being while honoring and remembering those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving.
The free wellness challenge is designed to get people moving by incorporating any type of physical activity for a minimum of 30 minutes for 30 days in a row to show their commitment and support to the military community. Any activity counts — walking, running, hiking, swimming, lifting, dancing, etc.
Participants are encouraged to register for the free 30-day fitness challenge at hopeforthewarriors.org as an individual or a team. Participants can log their daily activity through the website to maintain a cumulative total for the challenge. Fundraising incentive prizes, credit to Hope For The Warriors’ online store, for individuals begin at $30 and continue at $60, $100, $250, $500, and $1,000.
Weekly, participants will receive emails that aim to motivate, inspire and to share ideas to help sustain well-being. In addition, signing up for the 30×30 challenge provides access to the Hope For The Warriors’ sports and recreation resource library, that contains exercise demonstrations, healthy eating tips, and mindfulness activities.
“The Hope For The Warriors 30×30 Memorial Day Challenge has become a favorite event of ours,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit. “Since the wellness challenge is virtual you can participate from anywhere in the world and at whatever pace is most comfortable for you. Each year, through this challenge, we’re honored to work together to pay respect to those who are currently serving, those who have served, and to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.”
