SPRINGFIELD, Va. (December 4, 2024) – Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin recently announced the appointment of Robin Kelleher, founder and CEO of Hope For The Warriors, to the Joint Leadership Council (JLC) of Veterans Service Organizations.
Composed of veteran services organizations across the Commonwealth, the JLC is active in identifying veterans’ needs and advocating in support of veterans’ issues that may be remedied through appropriate legislation or other means.
Additionally, the JLC advises the Department of Veterans Services and the Virginia General Assembly regarding methods of providing support for ongoing veterans services and programs, and addresses veterans issues on an ongoing basis. The JLC also recommends issues that may potentially impact veterans and their families along with promoting and supporting existing veterans’ services and programs.
“We are honored that Governor Youngkin appointed us to the JLC,” said Kelleher. “It is a unique opportunity for Hope For The Warriors to be a voice at the governor’s table for Virginia’s veterans and military families.”
Kelleher’s appointment is for a three-year term on the 26-member JLC.
