Bridging Hearts and Missions: Celebrating Volunteer of the Month, Andrea Malloy

Hope For The Warriors is excited to honor Andrea Malloy as our Volunteer of the Month for October. Andrea’s commitment, enthusiasm, and positive attitude make her invaluable to our community.

Andrea’s connection to Hope For The Warriors started through her boyfriend, Rob Driver, a Marine Corps veteran who served 14 years and medically retired as a Gunnery Sergeant. Rob first got involved with Hope For The Warriors at the 2017 Celebrity Invitational at River Landing, where he discovered a new sense of brotherhood and camaraderie. “HOPE has been phenomenal in every aspect,” Rob says. “They’ve truly helped me reintegrate and find that sense of connection that’s so meaningful for veterans.”

Inspired by Rob’s experiences, Andrea felt drawn to the organization. “Being with Rob made me see how near and dear this organization is to his heart, and that makes it special for me, too,” she shares. Andrea dove into the volunteer pool headfirst — helping with the Celebrity Invitational with a smile. Her infectious energy and dedication inspired Danielle Rose, HOPE’s Director of Donor Events, to nominate her for the Volunteer of the Month honor. “Despite it being her first time volunteering with us and working on one of our most complex events, Andrea stepped up without hesitation,” Danielle says. “We handed her a last-minute job with little direction, and she jumped in with a smile, ready to help. Her positive attitude never wavered through long, hot hours on the golf course. Her dedication and adaptability made a huge difference to the guest experience of the event. We couldn’t be more grateful to have her on the team.”

Reflecting on the recognition, Andrea says, “I’m just grateful to help in any way I can. Being part of something that matters so much to Rob is special. Meeting everyone and seeing all the hard work that goes into these events was wonderful. Helping at the Invitational was more of a privilege than anything. I’m just grateful to be part of something so special.”

Andrea, thank you for your generosity, resilience, and kindness. You exemplify what being part of the Hope For The Warriors family means.
