SPRINGFIELD, Va. (June 4, 2025) – Geared for the military community, Hope For The Warriors will present a series of free, virtual career workshops with Robert Half, a talent solutions and business consulting firm.
Kicking off Wednesday, June 12 at 11 a.m. EST, the four-part series will be led by Hope For The Warriors and Robert Half career coaches who will share expertise for veterans, service members, and military spouses on career readiness. The one-hour, interactive workshops will include assisting participants with essential skills for the job search process, such as; resume building, interview preparation, networking and brainstorming new civilian career options as participants integrate into civilian careers.
The following are the topics of the four-part series:
- Thursday, June 12 – From Military to Civilian: Translating Experience for Private Sector Roles will focus on resume translation strategies and civilian language for leadership, logistics and operations positions.
- Thursday, August 14 – The Hidden Job Market: How to Network Like a Pro (Even if You Hate It) will tackle utilizing LinkedIn and digital networking, building recruiter relationships and navigating referrals in staffing.
- Thursday, October 16 – Working with a Staffing Firm: Myths, Facts & How to Maximize the Relationship and will cover Robert Half’s process with candidates and employers, what to expect from placements, temporary-to-permanent opportunities and navigating the Robert Half job portal.
- Thursday, December 11 – Breaking into Admin, Finance, and Tech: Career Paths You May Not Have Considered will present ideas for entry-level paths and career growth, transferable military skills and credentials and certifications that add value to careers.
For the first 15 participants that attend the June event for its entirety, Robert Half will provide 30-day access to its Percipio learning platform. Percipio features thousands of career development resources, including courses on resume writing, interview prep, leadership, Microsoft Office skills, and more. The goal of the self-guided program is to help users sharpen their skills and explore new interests to help take the next step in their career journey.
As a part of Hope For The Warriors’ Warrior’s Compass transition program, the free, virtual career workshop series provides free training to help prepare those in the military landscape for a job search in today’s civilian climate. The workshops offer tools and tips, as well as opportunities to network with other service members, military spouses, and companies committed to hiring those with military backgrounds.
