“We’re excited to be a part of the annual Vetsrock concert and provide a fun night out to local military members,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president of the nonprofit organization. “Most importantly, with WBAB’s continued support to Hope For The Warriors the station is truly impacting the well-being of the many veterans, service members and families who have bravely served and sacrificed for our country.”
Fans are encouraged to arrive to Jones Beach early to enjoy live music starting at 5:30 p.m. with the “Project9Line All-Stars,” featuring veterans of WWII, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
As part of the event, WBAB will be collecting nonperishable food items to benefit Island Harvest Food Bank’s Operation: HOPE program that assists local veterans and military families struggling with hunger and food insecurity. In addition, concert attendees donating nonperishable food will qualify to win front row seats.
