This May, Hope For The Warriors is excited to recognize Jim Rutledge as our Volunteer of the Month!

May is a big month for us here at HOPE as we gear up for our annual Run For The Warriors 5K and 10K race in Jacksonville, NC. It’s also a big month for Jim as he prepares to run with us for the 15th year in a row! Over the years, Jim has built up a small team to participate alongside him, and together they continue to raise money and spread awareness for our warrior community.

HOPE President/CEO Robin Kelleher nominated Jim for this honor as she has witnessed first-hand the difference his team makes for our organization.

“Our Run Series is how we founded HOPE – Jim is part of our history and legacy,” said Robin. “His fundraising efforts ensure that our mission continues in an important part of our community. He brings his people with him to share the essence of HOPE.”

Individuals and groups like Jim and his team are the backbones of what we do at HOPE. Their dedication, contribution, and support help make it possible for us to provide direct support to service members, veterans, and military families.

“Jim is committed to the Run and initiated the fundraising piece on his own,” said Robin. “He takes great care of his team and is a rock of this series. I would love to see Jim’s run shirt collection!”

Residing in Maple Hill, NC, just 30 minutes outside of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Jim is a longtime supporter of the military community and our HOPE mission. Thank you, Jim, for showing up year after year for our organization and bringing the community together to honor our Armed Forces’ brave men and women!
