SPRINGFIELD, Va. (October 31, 2023) – St. Louis Park-based Car Donation Foundation was recently named a recipient of the Chairman’s Award for Corporate Citizenship at the Hope For The Warriors Got Heart, Give Hope Gala.

Presented by U.S. Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal and U.S. Marine Col. Barney Barnum. Loren Dorshow accepted the Chairman’s Award for Corporate Citizenship on behalf of Car Donation Foundation, which is awarded to a longtime strategic partner of Hope For The Warriors.

“Receiving this award from Hope For The Warriors means that the donations from our organization are really meaningful to Hope For The Warriors and the military families they serve, and that is super important,” shared Loren Dorshow executive director of Car Donation Foundation.

The annual Got Heart, Give Hope Gala at Union Station, in Washington D.C., honored three members of our nation’s armed forces and their families with the Vigiano Family Hope and Courage Awards, in addition to honoring individuals, corporations and organizations which have stood beside the organization in serving military families.

“Thanks to the donations from the Car Donation Foundation’s Vehicles for Veterans programs, we’re able to fund programs like our Drive For Hope program, restoring veteran’s freedom of driving once again,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president for Hope For The Warriors. “The foundation broke $1 million in financial support in 2022 and continues to support HOPE and our programs, because they truly understand the positive impact their donations directly make to military families we serve.”

Based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota and through its Vehicles For Veterans program, Car Donation Foundation vehicle donation program provides funding to nonprofits with mission’s to build better lives for disabled veterans and their families in need of assistance and support.

Since 2018, Car Donation Foundation has donated over $1.9 million to Hope For The Warriors and its programs benefiting military families.
