Annual N.Y. events benefit military families through Hope For The Warriors

 

MILBROOK/NEWBURGH, N.Y. (March 29, 2023) – Registration is now open for the 12th Annual Clay Shoot for HOPE scheduled for May 5 and the 2nd Annual All American Striped Bass Tournament for HOPE on May 6.

All proceeds from the events will benefit Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit that has served over 40,000 service members, veterans and military families through a variety of support programs focused on health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition.

The Millbrook-based clay shoot event will be hosted at Orvis Sandanona range on Saturday May 5.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast and registration. Shooting begins at 10 a.m. with lunch and an auction at 1 p.m. Tickets are $500 and include sporting clays (round of 100, including four boxes of shells, and shotguns), a golf cart, breakfast and lunch.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, including sponsoring a service member’s participation.

The Striped Bass Fishing Tournament will be hosted at the Riverfront Marina in Newburgh, New York.

The event begins at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast and registration. The shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. with a virtual weigh-in from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. with an awards buffet following. Registration for one angler is $200 and includes placement on a boat and breakfast and dinner. For $100 a non-angler guest can join the awards dinner.

For the All-American Striped Bass Tournament for HOPE a New York state fishing license is NOT required to fish for the target species – striped bass. However, all anglers in the tournament will be required to hold a NYS Saltwater/Marine Fishing Registry.
