Join HOPE in recognizing Tara Walters as our September Volunteer of the Month.

In August, Hope For The Warriors and the River Landing Community teamed up to host the 10TH Annual Hope For The Warriors Invitational, a multi-day event that brings flag officers, celebrities and supporters to Wallace, NC, to connect with and celebrate our nation’s heroes. For a large-scale event like the Invitational to be successful and meaningful to our warrior community, we need volunteers like Tara to support our staff.

Nominated for this honor by HOPE’s National Donor Events Manager, Danielle Rose, who shares, “Tara went above and beyond her daily duties as a volunteer. Over the course of the event, she was often the first to arrive and one of the last people to leave. She jumped in during times of chaos and needed little direction to complete last-minute tasks that were thrown her way. Nominating her as the volunteer of the month is the least I could do to say, ‘thank you’ for her support.”

Tara, an Arlington, Virginia native, is currently Freedom of Information and Privacy Act Administrator. Today, we thank her for sharing her time and talent with not only HOPE but the warrior community!  We appreciate your flexibility, hard work and continuous support of our organization and those we serve.
