MIDDLE VILLAGE, QUEENS (Jan. 2, 2018) – The Our Lady of Hope Catholic Academy eighth-grade art club students recently raised $320 by selling handmade ornaments through its annual flea market with all proceeds benefiting Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope for veterans, service members and military families.

Inspired by their art teacher and longtime Hope For The Warriors supporter Terryanne Rosenhammer to support military members and their families, the students designed and decorated the ornaments and managed the sales all on their own.

Celebrating 11 years of service, Hope For The Warriors assists veterans, service members and military families with a variety of programming including transition services, clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation and community development and engagement.
