SALISBURY, N.C. (May 30, 2019) – Food Lion continues its support for military families by hosting its 19th annual “Thriller on the Griller” events, June 6 through July 28, in several North Carolina and South Carolina locations.

Each event will raise funds for Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit that assists veterans, service members and military families with a variety of programming including clinical health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition services. This is the tenth year that proceeds from the event will support Hope For The Warriors.

Through the 17 “Thriller on the Griller” events, Food Lion customers will have several options to support Hope For The Warriors. For a small donation, customers can purchase lunch donated by vendors and even bid on silent auction items such as bicycles, golf bags, autographed memorabilia and more.

Since 2011, Food Lion and its “Thriller on the Griller” events have raised more than $1.1 million benefiting Hope For The Warriors and its programs.

“We are so fortunate to partner with Food Lion to help us provide a positive impact for veterans, service members and military families who have contributed so much for our country,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president for Hope For The Warriors. “The ‘Thriller on the Griller’ events have helped create positive change in so many lives and keep HOPE alive.”
