SPRINGFIELD, Va. – The national military nonprofit Hope For The Warriors is hosting a virtual St. Patrick’s Day concert featuring Celtic Tenor John McDermott. Family tickets for the 75-minute concert are $25 with all proceeds going to support military families through Hope For The Warriors. Once purchased, a link for the virtual concert will be emailed and ready for viewing March 17.

McDermott is known for singing Irish and Scottish ballads and has recorded more than 25 albums, three of which have gone platinum while another has reached double platinum status and another achieving triple platinum ranking. The Canadian performer has received the U.S. Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s Bob Hope Award for his support for veterans’ causes.

An advocate for veterans, McDermott’s father served in the Royal Air Force with several other close relatives serving and making the ultimate sacrifices in the U.S. and Canadian militaries. In 2010, he was awarded a Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation for his work on behalf of veterans. He is also an honorary member of the War Amps of Canada.
