JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (Feb. 23, 2018) – Today, community members joined Hope For The Warriors to officially opening its second area location at 3215 Henderson Drive in Jacksonville.
Founded in 2006 aboard Camp Lejeune, Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope for veterans, service members and military families.
Expanding its services to meet the ever-changing needs of the military community, the second Eastern North Carolina location will provide additional space for client walk-ins, face-to-face support with the potential goal of hosting small support groups, resilience training, community meetings and more.
The office will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
“In more than 11 years, Hope For The Warriors has grown into a national organization but we’re extremely proud to still have a large footprint in Eastern North Carolina where the nonprofit was founded by military wives,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder, president and CEO of Hope For The Warriors. “Therefore, it was imperative to add a second location beyond our Camp Lejeune offices to meet the growing needs of the deserving veterans, service members and military families based here.”
Since its inception, Hope For The Warriors has served more than 19,000 service members, veterans and military families through a comprehensive approach to well-being focusing on, clinical health and wellness. sports and recreation and transition.
