BAE Systems, a global defense, aerospace and security company, headquartered in Arlington, VA, spent a year giving hope to the military community. Employees from across the country held many events throughout the year raising awareness and $90,000 in donations for Hope For The Warriors.
Here are just some of the creative events and activities BAE Systems hosted in their offices around the country:
2 Golf Tournaments
Flower and Bake Sale
Chili Cook-off
Pumpkin Carving Contest
Pulled Pork Sandwich Day
Wicked Waffles for Warriors Breakfast
BAE Systems employees from San Diego also
sent 246 pounds of coffee and 70 mugs to
service members deployed in Kuwait, boosting
morale.
Beyond these fundraising activities, BAE Systems granted a mini-A Warriors Wish® to a service member who is suffering from severe PTSD and a terminal condition called bronchiolitis, which he contracted during his service. The wish was for a laptop that the service member could use throughout the day to distract from painful side effects of his treatment.
