The National Center for Health reported that only 23% of Americans get enough exercise, leaving a majority unhealthy and unhappy.
By committing 150 minutes per week or 21 minutes a day to exercise one can reduce depression by 30%, promote improved sleep, happiness, and self-esteem, and reduce stress. Yet, the average American spends 144 minutes a day on social media.
Does that motivate you to stop your scroll and go for a 15-minute stroll? We hope so but keep reading before you do!
Whether you are a veteran, military family member, or community member looking to jump back into fitness or take your fitness to the next level, HOPE’s Sports & Recreation programs are here to help.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF WITH TEAM HOPE FOR THE WARRIORS
Team HOPE provides athletes of all abilities the opportunity to engage their competitive spirit at endurance events. Warrior Team members are provided with adaptive equipment and race support to ensure that they are defined by their achievements rather than their injuries. Community Team members challenge themselves to raise funds for America’s heroes, set new athletic goals, or simply support our military. These teams are united by the common goal of improving the rehabilitation of wounded service members and military families.

COMMIT TO YOURSELF AND COMMIT TO HONORING OUR WARRIORS THROUGH HOPE’S 30X30 FITNESS CHALLENGES
Hope For The Warriors will once again be offering our Memorial Day 30×30 Virtual Fitness Challenge this year!
Our free 30×30 virtual challenge is built on the commitment of participants to perform 30 minutes of an exercise of their choice for 30 days. As a participant, you will have the option to do this individually or build a team. In addition, shirts can be purchased at an additional cost, and you can incorporate a fundraiser into your 30-day challenge to give HOPE to post-9/11 veterans and military families.
The Memorial Day 30×30 Challenge will kick off on May 1st and lead up to Memorial Day. Each day, you will have the opportunity to dedicate 30 minutes of your day to honor a fallen hero through fitness or complete one of your favorite workouts. Keep an eye out on our website, social media, and emails for more information on how to participate.
