CONROE, Texas (Jan. 24, 2024)Zipps Liquor recently presented Hope For The Warriors (HOPE) a check for $30,537.38 that was raised during the retailer’s annual sale of limited edition bottles of bourbon and whiskey.

From Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023, customers were able to support Hope For The Warriors through purchasing rare, allocated bottles of bourbon and whiskey at Zipps 38 stores across Texas.

“These bottles, often swathed in the allure of rarity, either disappear from shelves in the blink of an eye or sport price tags that can make even seasoned collectors balk,” said Anuj Mittal, chief operation officer at Zipps Liquor. “This is where we at Zipps Liquor perceived an opportunity, an opportunity to give back.”

The family owned Zipps donated a portion of all proceeds from the sales of these rare bottles to Hope For The Warriors.

“For Zipps, the choice was deeply personal and profound,” said Mittal. “Our reverence for those who’ve served the nation goes beyond mere words. The chain has a significant number of employees with military ties, and the essence of service and sacrifice isn’t just a distant concept but something that resonates within the Zipps family. Choosing a veteran-focused organization like Hope For The Warriors was, therefore, a conscious decision to honor those ties and the countless warriors and their families who’ve given their all.”

Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit that has served over 159,000 post 9/11 service members, veterans and military families by providing financial, career and educational stability; physical and emotional strength; and social support that builds community.

“We’re always amazed at the creative and generous ways that individuals and businesses find to support military families at HOPE,” shared Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO for Hope For The Warriors. “With the continued support from Zipps Liquors, and its customers, we at Hope For The Warriors are better suited to serve military families across Texas and beyond.”

Over the last four years Zipps Liquors donated over $82,000 to Hope For The Warriors and military families served through its programs.
