SPRINGFIELD, Va. (June 27, 2023) – Hope For The Warriors recently received a $100,000 community partnership grant from Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). This is the third year Hope For The Warriors has received this grant to support its critical needs program funding for one year.
Hope For The Warriors’ Critical Needs program assists service members, veterans and their families in two specific ways. Program coordinators provide integrated case management, financial education, with an emphasis on long-term financial stability, and resource referrals that assist the warrior both today and in the future. Then, if the warrior meets program eligibility criteria, financial support may be provided to assist the family in the short term.
Celebrating 16 years of service, Hope For The Warriors has assisted over 159,000 veterans, service members and military families by providing financial, career and educational stability; physical and emotional strength; and social support that builds community.
“We’re honored to receive support for the third year from the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO of the nonprofit organization. “Each year, we have more and more military families that reach out for assistance with their next journey and these funds HOPE to meet those critical needs.”
Since 2012, WWP has invested more than $343 million in 218 organizations that helps wounded veterans and families across the country, like Hope For The Warriors. These partnerships expand the resources available to America’s injured veterans and help ensure they and their families thrive long-term. WWP proudly supports programs and services that enhance overall wellness, reduce suicide risks, and support high-need populations, including mental and brain health, special operations forces, caregivers, and Hidden Helpers.
