2020 has brought a lot of ups and downs to the lives of military families and all United States citizens. As individuals, we face stress and anxiety that we have never experienced before, as well as job loss, income loss, and more. New York specifically was one of the hardest hit states by not only the COVID-19 virus, but also by the economic downturn.

To the more than 75,000 post-9/11 veterans and military families who call New York home, Hope For The Warriors is here to support you!

This year has forced us to look for silver linings. One of the many we have found is the support of the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation. They offer programs that meet the unmet healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities throughout the state of New York.

Hope For The Warriors was selected for a $75,000 grant to expand our Critical Care Coordination (CCC) services to post-9/11 veterans and military families who have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

About HOPE’s Critical Care Coordination
Delays in disability claims processing, loss of income, homelessness, the need for increased care due to injury progression, and unexpected expenses can create financial burdens for families.

Originally designed to meet short-term needs in the days following an injury, HOPE’s Critical Care Coordination (CCC) program has expanded to assist various populations of our military. Including post-9/11 combat-wounded veterans and their families, post-9/11 homeless veterans, and post-9/11 veterans who are survivors of MST as they navigate through long-term recovery.

Through the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation Grant, Hope For The Warriors’ CCC program can provide support to veterans and their families in the following ways:

Can Support Cannot Support
  • Post-9/11 veterans and their families, post-9/11 homeless veterans, post-9/11 military sexual trauma survivors
  • Temporary Financial Assistance related to rent, mortgage, utility bills, grocery, car payments
  • Temporary financial support due to a setback caused by the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Active Duty Service Members
