Tournament set for Oct. 2-3 at Orchard Ridge

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Sept. 14, 2022) – The inaugural Hoosiers For Hope Golf Tournament, benefitting Hope For The Warriors, is scheduled for October 2-3 at Orchard Ridge Country Club.

Teams of three may enter the tournament or find more information by visiting, hopeforthewarriors.org/hoosiersforhope. Each team will be paired with a service member.

The two-day event begins on Sunday, October 2 with a reception and golf skills contest at Orchard Ridge Country Club. The tournament is set for Monday, October 3 with a 12 p.m. shotgun start.

Organized by former collegiate golfer Wyatt Larkin, the tournament’s goal is to raise funds and awareness for Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit that assists veterans, service members and military families with a variety of programs including health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition services.

“It has been a lifelong mission of mine to be of service to those that serve us,” said Larkin. “Thanks to Hope For The Warriors, I have seen what can be accomplished if we get people rallied around a common goal. My golf tournament is to help HOPE gain some attention here in Indiana and spread the word of how much impact they have had on warriors and their families in this state. This is a dream of mine and I appreciate all that are involved and willing to help make it succeed!”

Larkin first began supporting HOPE in 2011, when he was 14 years old and first heard of the national nonprofit and its mission. That year he raised money for the organization with a donation for every birdie he made during competition.

“Wyatt has supported Hope For The Warriors for many years and now we are excited he has launched a golf tournament to support HOPE while hosting service members as well,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president of the nonprofit organization. “Wyatt is very passionate about HOPE and as his passion has grown more military families are benefited from our services.”

Several levels of sponsorship are available for the tournament. For sponsorship information, visit hopeforthewarriors.org/hoosiersforhope.
