On July 25 at 12 PM EST, join us for a virtual event designed to shed light on the significance of hiring veterans and explore the vast potential they bring to the workforce. During this event, we will dive into the unique experiences, skills, and perspectives that make veterans valuable assets in any organization.
The webinar will feature industry experts and human resources professionals to discuss the benefits of hiring veterans, best practices for successful integration, and how to create an inclusive work environment that celebrates the contributions of these exceptional individuals.

Katie Spinazzola – Northern Virginia Regional Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Veteran Services Transition Assistance Program
Katie has over eight years of experience as a certified resume writer, career coach and is the proud daughter of a retired Navy Captain. She has a unique blend of corporate, higher education, and military experience, which has allowed her to successfully coach and prepare qualified candidates for positions in various industries.
Katie has always had a soft spot in her heart for helping service members and veterans. The drive and desire to assist and support were always there. Still, the answer was never clear as to how she could help until she stumbled upon a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to marry her passion for the military and her strong career counselor, advocate, and mentor skills.
Katie has been able to honor not only her father’s legacy but use his experience as a beacon to provide transparent, honest, and genuine support to her clients while helping them locate opportunities for employment, education, entrepreneurship, and training through programs such as Virginia Values Veterans, Military Medics and Corpsman, Hire Vets Now Fellowship and countless others.
Monica Reyes – Managing Partner at Caliber, Inc.
Like most women, Monica wears many hats. First and foremost, she is a wife to an active-duty soldier and veteran. Her husband is a CW3 in the US Army with over 20 years under his belt but only went active after his deployment in Iraq. “We have quite a bit more to go,” Monica says.
Monica is a mother to two amazing children. Her son is about to go to college in the fall to become a computer engineer. Her daughter will still follow Monica and her husband through a couple more PCS seasons before she pursues her artistic passions. Monica’s real joy has been watching two completely different personalities grow up.
Monica is also a business owner. After a 15-year career in the logistics industry, she shifted to the talent acquisition side. Monica feels blessed to use her industry knowledge to help the careers of others!
Finally, Monica is a volunteer. She served in many leadership capacities, and they’ve been within her passions —women’s ministry, animal rescues, foster care, and now military families. “Just like my recruiting skills are directly related to an industry I’m well familiar with, I ensure my social responsibilities are directly related to organizations that relate to who I am, regardless of the ‘hat’ I’m wearing.”
