This is the fifth year the FDNY Hockey Team has asked to honor Hope For The Warriors veterans before the game, and host them for the game. All must provide proof of Covid 19 vaccination to enter the building.
Marine Expo Quantico is co-sponsored by and held at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. It is the largest of the 3 Expos they do each year and encompasses the NCR, Fort Belvoir, Quantico and TBS. This Expo has the largest footprint and vendor representation allowing for a greater outreach in all HOPE program areas. Held since 1993, this annual exposition showcases the latest innovative displays, trailblazing computer simulations and state-of-the-art technology systems and equipment designed specifically for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Join us at the 13th Annual OORAH VS. HOORAH Fishing Battle hosted by Dr. Weisler. This event pits 15 Marines vs. 15 Soldiers in a deep sea fishing battle for bragging rights over the biggest catch, while promoting camaraderie and showcasing the benefits of fishing as an outlet to our active duty military.
Thursday evening, the fishermen will meet for dinner, dessert and short remarks at the Bridge Tender Marina. Friday they will depart from Carolina Beach for a full day fishing trip, ending in an awards dinner on the docks.
In honor of 2d Maintenance Battalion’s 71st Anniversary, the Marines and Sailors will be participating in various field meet events throughout the first two weeks of November. Hope for the Warriors has been invited to have a resource table at the micro-resource station to speak with the 450+ Marines/Sailors about all the great services we provide.
This annual event is hosted by Macy’s, New York City and its partners. The NYPD and FDNY have invited HOPE and 50 guests to watch the show from a secure viewing area.
Throughout this 2-month period, snacks and HOPE literature will be housed at the Bulldog Lounge. Military Relations staff from the HOPE team will have the opportunity to conduct outreach to veterans in the lounge.
In New York, the Tree Lighting Ceremony right after Thanksgiving is the official start of the Holiday season. The Tree Lighting Ceremony attracts tons of people every year. Of course, the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center is the highlight from tourist coming to New York from all over the world during Christmas time. The NYPD is inviting HOPE and a number of guests to attend and watch the event from a semi-private viewing area.
Each year Hope For The Warriors is invited by the NYPD to share a reserved spot in Time Square to watch the ball drop.
