At Hope For The Warriors, your safety is our top priority, especially with the ongoing impact of COVID-19. We encourage event participants to follow the CDC’s safety guidelines, as well as state and local guidelines concerning COVID. Let’s stay safe and protect others as we gather to support HOPE!

That’s why Hope For The Warriors means so much to me and my husband. It not only made it possible for me to study art, it gave me a safe place to share my experience with others going through something similar. It even helped me understand what my husband and I need to care for ourselves and each other.

Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation Golf Event
Jun 4 @ 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

The Cedar Creek Veterans Foundation was established in 2009 by some residents of the Pinnacle Club in Mabank, Texas, on Cedar Creek Lake to raise money for The CCVF Golf Classic held annually to raise funds for three veterans charities: The Fisher House, Hope For The Warriors and The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, all A+ rated charities, well-established non-profits providing support services to military and veterans, and their families, particularly those from East Texas. THOSE SERVICE MEMBERS HAD BEEN injured in combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

ccvf Golf Classic

The Golf Classic was held at the Pinnacle Golf and Boat Club , Mabank, Texas. Participants formed either on 4-person Teams or they played individually on this challenging course.
This year the Foundation honored Veterans who served in, or during, the longest war in United States history, Vietnam. Our Country’s goal was to stop the spread of communism, not by winning the war, but by bolstering the South Vietnamese government until they could take over. Our soldiers, their average age of twenty-one, spent about two-hundred and forty combat days per year in a harsh environment and with conflicting rules of engagement, with over 58,200 persons killed in action. The Vietnam War divided our Nation, while on the battleground our troops fought in jungles against an often-unrecognizable enemy. The 60’s era legacy might read as a contradiction; empowerment and polarization, resentment and liberation – this “gray twilight” prejudicially greeting our troops upon their return from battle.
We spotlighted two gracious Veterans for their service but we would be remiss by not recognizing all those among us who answered our Country’s call to duty during the Vietnam era.
Participantion was open to the public and included former military members as honored guests. There was a shot gun start, special entertainment and a lunch provided. The generous support of this Classic will allow the CCVF to financially support our military veterans in their rehabilitation and recovery.
