Gold Star Wife received a sign of hope this Memorial Day…

On April 9, 1986 at Fort Stewart, Chief Warrant Officer Donald “Donnie” Miller, at 22 years old was piloting or co-piloting a Cobra helicopter when it crashed head-on into a transport helicopter with a six-man crew, all of which died that evening. Just 24 hours after the accident, the Miller’s first-born daughter was born.

On the morning of the 31st Memorial Day since her husband has passed, Gold Star Wife, Teresa was looking for a sign to know that her husband, fallen helicopter pilot, was still with her.

While on Facebook that Memorial Day morning using her voice text application on her phone, she spoke, “All gave some, some gave all. I miss you Donnie.” Then, when she looked at her post it read, “All gave some, some gave all. I miss you too honey”.

“It was a bad day, as Memorial Day usually is, and I was really missing him. It just happened. It was just what I needed.”
