Lynn has been an active member of our Hope For The Warriors family since 2015 as the liaison between our Houston, Texas staff and Shell Pipeline LP- Control Center’s MILNET.

Lynn has been the brains behind many of the projects that support Hope For The Warriors military families from Baskets of Hope for local caregivers, goodie bags for the Caregiver Wellness Workshop, Shell items for veterans who attended the Shooting & BBQ event, toiletry bags for the OIF/OEF Clinic at Michael E. Debakey VA, and supporting our Holiday Giving Program by adopting a local military family during the holiday season. This year when Lynn organized for Shell MILNET to adopt a local military family whose lives were devastated by Hurricane Harvey, she created a snowball effect leading to another division of Shell adopting a military family and assembling toiletry bags for military families impacted by Harvey.   They also supported a female veteran initiative hosted by a local Vet Center.

Lynn’s drive to support Hope For The Warriors and those we serve didn’t stop there! Through her connections at Shell and MILNET, we were able to grow our relationships in the Houston area and in Texas overall. Just one example of the relationships she harvested for us was this Fall when she connected us with the Lead Psychologist of a PTSD Peer Support Group at a Houston area Vet Center. With this new relationship, we were able to join forces and distribute groceries to military families through our Groceries From Hope initiative during Harvey relief efforts.

It is difficult to sum up Lynn’s impact on Hope For The Warriors, those we serve, and our gratitude for her. It is because of people like Lynn, that our staff of just 60 is able to restore HOPE in the lives of thousands of veteran and military families across the United States each and every year.

Thank you Lynn for your caring heart and for sharing your passion to support military families and your community with us. We cannot thank you and Shell MILNET enough for your creativity in service projects and for always going above and beyond to restore HOPE.
