February Volunteer of the Month: George MacClary!
George MacClary is an unwavering supporter of Hope For The Warriors whose dedication to supporting his fellow veterans and military families is more than just volunteering, but his way of life and passion.
For the past 7 years, Mr. MacClary has volunteered as the organizer of the Bear Lakes Golf Tournament in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a supporting tournament at Cape Cod Country Club, that honors Post-9/11 veterans and families while raising funds in support of Hope For The Warriors programs and services. When he’s not busy playing golf or volunteering, you can find him spending quality time with his wonderful wife, Joan, his children and grandkids and sharing our mission of restoring self, family and HOPE in the community!
Mr. MacClary is truly a selfless individual who does so much to support our nation’s warriors and their families and asks for nothing in return. The greatest “thank you” to him is seeing the impact his efforts makes on those we serve. As a result of the incredible success of this year’s Bear Lakes Gold Tournament, HOPE was able to provide transportation to the family and friends of a fallen Marine to attend the hero’s funeral. For that we are forever grateful.
