Over the past 12 years, Colonel Kopka has made a tremendous impact on Hope For The Warriors by sharing our mission in the Camp Lejeune and Jacksonville, North Carolina community. You will always find him at Jacksonville High School Stadium bright and early during the annual Jacksonville Run For The Warriors race, Thriller On The Grillers and at various events in the community. He also plays a significant role during the planning and execution of the annual Hope For The Warriors Invitational at River Landing in Wallace, NC.

Beyond connecting HOPE in the community, he always makes time to share advice and jokes during his visits to our Camp Lejeune office. He mentors and encourages our staff through three words, “time, talent and treasure.” Leading others by example, he is living proof that if you invest your time, talent and treasure in your community, you will make an impact.
It is tough to summarize and measure the impact of Colonel Kopka’s leadership and friendship. We cannot thank him enough for all that he does to share HOPE. We are grateful to be a part of the Camp Lejeune community, a community for which he cares deeply.
