During the month of September, we are honored to highlight a very special longtime HOPE family member, Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant currently serving as a Congressional Fellow, John Rose.
John joined our HOPE family in 2012 seeking support after he was injured in Afghanistan. When he and his wife moved back to Camp Lejeune, they became very involved with our organization and local events. The support and HOPE he received through our programs, he then shared with his fellow wounded service members and veterans. As a volunteer, John shares his story of serving in combat, his recovery, and every triumph and hurdle he faced to get where he is in his career. He has taken the time to represent HOPE and speak at our staff conference and events. Most importantly, he will always go out of his way to help a fellow brother in arms who is having a difficult time and encourages them to join him at different events to help them find an new hobby, passion, and purpose. With his humor, spirit, and can-do attitude, he has positively impacted all who are in his presence.
Yet, beside every great man is a great woman, and the supportive efforts of his wife, Colleen, cannot go unnoticed. Through all the curveballs life has thrown at them, this power couple without even blinking an eye will always go above and beyond to support Hope For The Warriors functions and their fellow military families. Their resilience, love, and volunteerism define HOPE.
Thank you, John and Colleen for your unconditional support over the years. We are so honored and blessed to have you apart of our HOPE family and cannot thank you enough for your selflessness and devotion to supporting your fellow military families.
