Program designed to give back in local communities

SPRINGFIELD, Va. (August 1, 2022) – Hope For The Warriors has been selected as a beneficiary of the Giant Food Community Bag Program for the month of August.

Launched in 2019, the Giant Food Community Bag Program is a reusable bag that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.

Hope For The Warriors was selected as the August beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Giant Food located at 7501 Huntsman Blvd., Springfield, Va. Hope For The Warriors will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during August, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

“We love a product that gives back in more than one way,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and CEO of Hope For The Warriors. “Join Hope For The Warriors in supporting military families in August by purchasing Community Bags at our local Giant Food.”

Celebrating over 15 years of service, Hope For The Warriors assists veterans, service members and military families with a variety of programming including health and wellness, sports and recreation and transition services.
