Walsh Headshot -1After a decade of working with HOPE, Emma Walsh is the steady leader who guides the team and pushes the organization to new limits. As Chief Impact Officer, she oversees strategy to ensure HOPE delivers high-quality, innovative, and accessible services to our mission base.

Emma came to HOPE in 2009 with a background in non-profit management, fueled by a family committed to service. Her motivation to help veterans stems from several family members who currently serve and have served in the United States Military, starting with her grandfather, who served as a medic in the Army Air Corps in World War II.

Her roles within HOPE over the last decade have been equally diverse as they have broadened her scope of work in support of the mission. Emma began in fundraising then dove deeper into mission delivery to expand the warrior community’s access to evidence-based programming.

Emma’s experience, education, and higher learning also have contributed to the evolution of her HOPE career. She has a B.A. from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and continued her specialized education with courses at Duke University and New York University. She’s currently pursuing a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
