John Langford joined Hope For The Warriors in October 2017, as Senior Director of Transition, and currently serves as Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships. John’s primary role is to support the organization’s long-term Development goals through the identification, engagement, and stewardship of strategic corporate partners. John’s vast experience in the military as well as in corporate and non-profit organizations, coupled with his deep knowledge of Hope’s Well Being programs, make him uniquely qualified to connect, at the executive and senior leadership level, prospective corporate partners to Hope For The Warriors in order to build sustained relationships that provide the resources for Hope’s programs and national reach to grow and expand. These strategic partnerships allow Hope to continue to deliver full wrap-around services to our service members, veterans and their families as part of our comprehensive case management.
John served in a Marine Corps uniform for 23 years, first as an enlisted Marine, then primarily as a Weapons and Sensors Officer in the F-18D Hornet, before retiring in 2009. He completed multiple operational and combat deployments and brings with him an extensive background in veteran service support through sports, wellness, and career transition.
John has over 30 years of experience in leadership, strategic planning, and organizational change management and in the 10 years since his military retirement, has served in senior leadership roles in defense contracting and consulting firms, corporate sales and in the non-profit sector.
John is a graduate of multiple advanced military schools and courses including Air Combat Tactics Instructor and Weapons and Tactics Instructor Courses, Amphibious Warfare School, and Command and Staff College. He holds a Master’s of Science in Sport Business from Temple University. John currently resides in northern Virginia and has five adult children, one who is an active duty Marine.
