You can’t fundraise without a little fun, and that’s what Jeanne Long brought to HOPE when she joined the Development Team in 2018. Jeanne oversees and manages HOPE’s fundraising strategy and execution as its Vice President of Development.
Jeanne served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the 1980s, so she carries a deep understanding and passion for the mission. But it’s her skill as a successful fundraiser that help her articulate that passion and HOPE’s vision to donors and prospects in a way what both educates and compels them to give.
Fundraising is hardly a 9 to 5 job, but Jeanne still finds time to give back to her community. She volunteers with Mystic Schooner Baseball, New London Child and Family Services, is a Museum of Art docent, serves on the Philanthropy Day Committee, and is a founding member of the Norwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Family means the world to Jeanne. She and husband Dennis, have six amazing daughters who live all over the world. (And that makes her title of “Family Backgammon Champion” so much sweeter.)
Jeanne’s a Northeasterner at heart. She was born in Massachusetts and now lives in scenic Stonington, Connecticut, where she enjoys open water swimming, travel and a good book on a sunny beach.
