Did you know that HOPE has a Masters of Social Work (MSW) Internship program?

We have an experienced team of 13 social workers dedicated to providing our warriors and their families with the resources they need. They also support our MSW interns.

Our MSW Internship Program was launched in 2011 with the goal of preparing the next generation of social workers to feel confident in their ability to provide care, especially for the military community. Throughout the years, we’ve supported 68 interns spanning across many states, including North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Texas, Florida, and California. In fact, many of the MSW interns who completed their internship with HOPE continued to become a part of our team!

“Interns provide comprehensive clinical case management to veterans and their families utilizing our well-being approach. Needs assessments are conducted to determine immediate support with housing, food security, utility assistance, mental health care and other pressing matters a veteran and family may experience because of injuries suffered from military service,” shares Brianne Sampson, a former HOPE MSW Intern and now our Director of Clinical Support and Emotional Wellness and MSW Internship Manager.
