In 2015, Air Force veteran Michael Nehlsen combined his passion for riding his Harley with his desire to support his fellow veterans and established a fundraising campaign with his employer, Hillmann Consulting, called “Riding For Warriors.” For the past eight years, Nehlsen has traveled over 34,000 miles within various regions of the U.S. and has raised over $425,000 to grant life-changing wishes to combat-wounded veterans through Warrior’s Wish.

Last year, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, the Riding For Warriors team set out on a 900-mile journey, visiting 9/11 memorials, monuments, and places related to 9/11 to remember and honor the lives lost that day. This year, Michael expanded his fundraiser to include our Military Spouse & Caregiver Scholarship program and set off on a 2-week cross-country ride with a group of his fellow riders, starting at Camp Pendleton in California and ending in New York City.

Thank you, Michael, for your continuous support and friendship!
