When Luke Pylypciw was 15, he was gifted a discovery flight from a family friend who is a corporate pilot and CFII. This experience inspired his love for aviation and kicked off his flying journey. After 2 years of training and studying for his FAA exams, he became a licensed private pilot on his 17th birthday.
With the goal of one day studying Aviation Management and pursuing it as a career, Luke has been sharing his passion with others through his YouTube channel and by taking friends and family on private flights. This year, he took that passion one step further to give back to those who have served our country.
This past April, Luke completed a 2,000-mile journey down and back up the East coast in a 1977 Mooney M20J, all while raising money for HOPE – a fundraising journey he coined “Loop For The Troops.” This journey lasted four days, starting in Binghamton, New York, and flying back from Melbourne, Florida. Throughout his journey, Luke stopped to meet with veteran service organizations to spread joy and shake the hands of our country’s heroes. Thanks to Luke’s efforts and support from the community, he raised $12,500 for HOPE programs and services.
