For the past 8 years, Pamela Stokes Eggleston has been an instrumental member of our Caregiver Services program, contributing her experience as a certified yoga instructor and yoga therapist to help share HOPE with our caregivers.
Pamela is a caregiver to her husband, a U.S. Army Veteran and Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. He spent nearly 3 years at Walter Reed Medical Center recovering from his injuries caused by an improvised explosive device. Pamela turned to yoga to help with the secondary PTSD that came after her husband’s injuries and has since looked to the practice to help other military caregivers. She provides a network of support with a unique mind-body-spirit paradigm to decrease suffering, increase emotional balance, and cultivate self-care.
Through her work, Pamela uses her certifications in plant-based nutrition, stress management, prenatal yoga, yoga therapy, and yoga for trauma in veterans and the military to work with service members, veterans, and family members with combat trauma and PTSD. We are grateful to have her as part of the HOPE family and for her incredible support to the warrior community over the years.
