In May 2006, we hosted our first Run For The Warriors in Jacksonville, NC. “This is the event that led to the creation of Hope For The Warriors. At the time, the men and women returning home with injuries weren’t greeted with parades and ceremonies, and we wanted an event that celebrated those injured and all they overcame as they healed,” shares HOPE’s CEO Robin Kelleher.

“At Run For The Warriors, we celebrate the First Mile to symbolize the first steps of an injured warrior’s road to recovery. The First Mile represents resiliency and remembrance.”

Run For The Warriors is an event where we unite communities to remember and honor those who have served and stay true to the meaning behind the first event.

Our next in-person and virtual race will be November 6, the Long Island Run For The Warriors, to register visit https://events.elitefeats.com/22liwarriors
