Hope For The Warriors™ has issued a "Unit Challenge". This is an opportunity for units to honor their brethren wounded in combat by entering and running either the 5K or 10K. Many units have their own wounded Marines and Sailors so this challenge will serve as a personal tribute to their own. Please note: Unit discounts are available to military units only.

Participating Units are eligible for 2 awards (To be presented to the Unit Representative at the Closing Ceremony):

**Participation Award � presented to the unit with the most number of registrants

**Spirit Of The Cause Award � presented to the unit creatively supporting the mission of Hope For The Warriors™

In addition to inviting military units to accept the "unit challenge", we encourage spouses of deployed units to represent their unit in this challenge. To organize your unit please contact: Toni Aurilio

IMPORTANT DEADLINE:
May 13 (Noon EST) - Registration Closes for the Unit Challenge

In order to qualify as a Unit, please read and follow the instructions below

1. Units interested in the 2009 Unit Challenge are asked to designate a representative. The representative should fill out the Unit Challenge Representative Form and email to Toni Aurilio, fax to 910-938-1805 or drop off at the Warrior House Resource Center located at 3212 Seth Williams Blvd.

2. Unit Reps. will be sent a blank Excel Spreadsheet that will be used for his/her registrations. The full payment,($20/participant),signed waivers and spreadsheet will be submitted electronically to Hope For The Warriors� no later than Noon on May 13.

3. This rep. will maintain contact with the race directors and assist in encouraging race participation and distribution of registration forms throughout your unit. Unit Challenge Participant Registration Form

4. Packet Pick-up for the units will take place on Thursday, May 14 at the Warrior House Resource Center located at 3212 Seth Williams Blvd. aboard Camp Lejeune from 12-4pm. Representatives unable to pick up packets on Thursday will be directed to a designated area at Goettge Field House on Friday, May 15, 2009 from 12pm- 2pm. �Unit Reps� will be assisted in collecting all race packets, which include race number, race t-shirt as well as race goody bags. Chips will be handed out on Saturday, May 16 and may be given to the unit rep. to distribute if the unit rep. is willing to accept responsibility for the return of all chips. If unit rep. does collect chips, he/she must agree to reimburse H4W for any chip not returned from his/her unit.

5. The �Unit Rep.� will accept any awards presented to his/her unit.
