RACE T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST:
The 2008 Run for the Warriors™ pre-race kick off is a race t-shirt design contest. Local 4th - 12 graders
were asked to submit their designs to the R4W race directors. The theme of
the contest, as well as the race is "Hope Beyond Recovery". The winning entry was selected by
the wounded Marines currently living in
the Wounded Warrior Barracks. For more information, please email
As Wounded Warriors reintegrate back into the community we find their courage and tenacity
invigorating. The theme therefore is a tribute to their strength and our commitment to stand
behind them in the belief that there is "Hope Beyond Recovery". The children are invited to
capture this essence and in doing so we hope that they will gain an understanding that
disabilities and challenges are not roadblocks to life.
