Hope For The Warriors® works daily with wounded service members, their families, and families of the fallen to meet immediate financial needs.
Critical Care Coordination involves integrated case management on various levels engaging individual wounded service members, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and/or the warrior unit in which they are associated, medical professionals (if applicable), the Department of Defense and other nonprofit organizations.
Travel, lengthy hospital stays, loss of income and unexpected expenses create financial burdens for families during a vulnerable and uncertain time in their life. Originally designed to meet short-term needs in the days following an injury, the program has expanded to assist wounded heroes and their families as they navigate through long-term recovery.
Applicants may apply once a year. Payment is always made to a third party, typical grants cover household utilities, gas cards for vehicles to get to appointments, groceries, rent, mortgage, and rental deposits.
The following examples, although not a comprehensive list, have been deemed appropriate to the program:
As a general rule, Hope For The Warriors® does not approve requests for vehicle repairs or purchases.
