$1 donation from “Dog Tag” sales to benefit military families

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.  (May 12, 2016) – In honor of Memorial Day, Island Federal Credit Union (IFCU) is offering a special “dog tag” promotion from May 16 through May 30 to raise funds and awareness for the growing needs of service members, veterans and military families.

For $1, IFCU customers can support our nation’s heroes by purchasing “dog tags” from any of the Long Island branches. All proceeds will benefit Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, family and hope to service members and military families.

For the third year, IFCU will display the “dog tags” throughout the store, providing its customers the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment and support for the sacrifices of our service members. The New York-based credit union has branches in Bellmore, Hicksville, Massapequa, Riverhead, Sayville, Selden and a main office in Hauppauge.

“We are very excited for the continued support of Island Federal Credit Union and its patrons,” said Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors president. “Through this “dog tag” campaign, the staff is helping us reach thousands of patriotic Americans who want to honor the sacrifices of our service members, veterans and their families.”
