Team Hope For The Warriors Runs ING NYC Marathon
New York, New York - On Sunday, November 1, hope ran through the five boroughs of New York City as team members from Hope For The Warriors™
ran the 26.2 miles as part of the 2009 ING New York City Marathon. Forty-six team members are pushing a goal of $200,000 to benefit
Hope For The Warriors™ assists wounded service members and their families and families of the fallen.
"We were thrilled to be a participating charity in this year�s NYC Marathon," stated Tina Atherall, Executive Vice President of Hope
For The Warriors™. "We are so appreciative to our team members and their dedication to our mission."
The race, which started in 1970, is one of the largest marathons in the world. Nearly 40,000 runners participated in this year's marathon, which is
hailed to be among the pre-eminent long-distance annual running events in the country.
