Sgt. Ryan with his Marines in Iraq.
Sergeant Eddie Ryan, USMC
On April 13, 2004, while serving in Iraq, USMC Sergeant Eddie Ryan was shot twice in his head,
once in his lower jaw and once above his eye. Eddie was severely wounded and suffered a brain injury. The following day a
neurosurgeon in Lahnstuhl, Germany suggested that Sgt. Ryan's parents should fly to Germany over as soon as possible as they did not
expect Eddie to live much longer.
5 days follwing his injury, Eddie was transported to Bethesda Hospital where, once again, doctors were unsure
if he would survive.

Eddie and his family at their home in NY.
It has been a long 2 1/2 years. With thousands of prayers and the strength befitting a Marine and his
family, Sergeant Eddie Ryan is now at home with his family.
A friend of Eddie's contacted Hope For The Warriors™ requesting a special wish. A wheelchair - not just any wheelchair,
but an all-terrain wheelchair that Eddie's dad can push him around in the yard and maybe even go hunting again someday.
Hope For The Warriors™ is extremely honored to grant this wish for Eddie. The wheelchair has been specially
designed for Eddie's measurements and needs and will allow him to visit places an everyday wheelchair cannot handle.
