This Veterans Day we take the time to honor those who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms. Saying thank you to all our veterans and letting them know how much we appreciate what they have done for us is important. Hope For The Warriors and its partners are providing ways for you to say THANK YOU to the men and women who so bravely served our country.

Hope For The Warriors is sharing “10 ways to honor a veteran” on our social media channels beginning November 1, throNov.1_eblast_Matching Giftugh November 10. Be sure to visit our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Double HOPE this November and honor a veteran! In 2011, Ticie and Tom Rhodes established the John Stewart Morton, Jr. Gift Matching Challenge to honor Ticie’s father, a World War II veteran. The Rhodes family challenges friends of Hope For The Warriors with a 1:1 match for donations made in the month of November. This year, Semper Cool is also joining in the match challenge and together they will match every donation up to $30,000, which doubles the impact of the gifts to $60,000!

You can donate today, double the impact of your gift, and honor a veteran on our Wall of Honor by clicking below.

Our Partners

Hope For The Warriors is blessed with wonderful partners who are also honoring our veterans in different ways. This is a perfect way to get involved in your local community.

  • Leading up to Veterans Day, Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys, and Winn-Dixie stores, is launching their Veterans Day Wall of Honor community donation program in all stores, together with the Southeastern Grocers Foundation. Now through November 15, customers and associates can show their support for veterans of the armed forces by making a donation at checkout to benefit Hope For The Warriors. When customers make a donation at any BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys or Winn-Dixie store, they will be provided a Dedication Card with the opportunity to write a special message to their own military hero. These personal dedications will build a Wall of Honor at each store as a visual tribute to those who served, continue to serve and have sacrificed for the nation.  Participate in the Veterans Day Wall of Honor in stores from November 2 – 15, 2016.
  • Visit your local Hy-Vee store and participate in the Hy-Vee Homefront Round Up. The Round Up program allows customers to round up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar—or any amount—with the proceeds going to support designated Hy-Vee Homefront organizations, including Hope For The Warriors. Hy-Vee is proud to partner with their customers by matching customer donations during the days surrounding Veterans Day, up to $100,000. Shop and round up your grocery bill at your local Hy-Vee store on the following Round Up dates:  Veterans Day Round Up: November 3 – 13, 2016
