Hope For The Warriors mourns the loss of one of our exceptional family members, LtCol John Germain, USMC (ret) and extends our love and prayers to the Germain family.
John was our very first volunteer at the 1st Annual Run For The Warriors race aboard Camp Lejeune in 2005. He never missed a Run For The Warriors event and even participated in this year’s race while ill. His love for his country, corps, and Hope For The Warriors is inspiring and serves as an example of service to everyone in his community.
John’s faith in Hope For The Warriors mission to restore self, family, and hope became his fuel when he proudly represented Team Hope For The Warriors in the over 100 marathons he completed. This year, John was inducted into the inaugural class of the Hope For The Warriors Century Club, which celebrates members of Team Hope for the Warriors who have completed 100 full or half marathons.
John Germain has been an inspiration to us all at Hope for the Warriors. His commitment to reach his goals and keep pushing beyond his limits has touched so many staff members and those who ran with him. His legacy will serve as an inspiration to those who will follow him into his Hope For The Warriors Century Club.
